Look out for "Skåning in Norway 2".

Passing Liseberg amusement park, Gothenburg, yesterday evening.

I have been informed that I have no more free space for pictures and need to upgrade (i e buy extra storage). Hmm...

god is a she

Today at the Tempel of telecom: "Men don't protect you anymore."
Voglio una donna...

Mene mene...

lights up my way and day

Going to work. A rainy and mistyish morning.

Thursday. Tonight I drive to Skåne. 560 km.

Nov 20, 2012

yellow smoke

The night is yellow.

And filled with smoke.

new day new possibilities blablablabla

Early morning. The Temple of telecom salutes you. Welcome to my world. My work. My worries

Some days you wake and immediately start to worry.
Well I didn't. Do now.

Nov 19, 2012

first wet then slippery

Bandy practice. The temperature is just above 0 degrees centigrade/Celsius. It's raining.

On the ground the rain quickly freezes – creating a thin, almost invisible, treacherous, icy surface. Just before the boys came off the ice I overheard a mother say to her husband: I hate November.

Well put.

bad branding: securitas mobile insecurity

On my way home today at about 4.10 PM I was just about to cross the street on a pedestrian crossing when a car flew by – just in front of my feet.

In Norway drivers must stop for pedestrians at pedestrian crossings, or they are fined NOK 5200 (US 900).

Illustration photo (taken at another crossing)
The driver turned his head and looked stupidly at me because, I guess, I disturbed him on his noble quest for not stopping at pedestrian crossings while going too fast in a 50 zone (yes, that too). Needless to say I didn't feel very safe and secure right then and there...

Paradoxly enough the car he was driving was branded with a huge "Securitas"-logo. Talk about not living the brand.

the temple after dark

The Temple of telecom by night. It's never too late to join.

What's your pleasure?

the voice of god

Early this morning at the Temple of telecom:

Mene mene...

last day of sun (according to the weather forecast)

Sunrise over the fjord.

Ahead of us: At least one week of rain. Hard to believe on a morning like this.

Nov 18, 2012

two goals for today

I'm a simple man (with a simple plan):

1. Enjoy the sun. Check.
2. Play football. Check.

(Blogg about it.)

new sport today

Kristoffer played his first two handball matches. Lost one 10-15 and won one 12-8. Scored 4 goals (2 per match). OK after just one hour of practice.

Nov 17, 2012

christmas is slowly creeping up on us #4

Gingerbread man Bertil in a box.

Have a Berra Christmas.

(Berra = Swedish nickname for Bertil)

mad man flew sas

In today's edition of Norwegian daily Aftenposten there is an article about SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System). SAS are struggling financially and Aftenposten take a look at the good old days when flying wasn't just a means of transportation – in the 50' and 60's.

The silver haired gent in the top right corner looks very familiar...:

Mad Man Sterling? Crazy.

Nov 16, 2012

poor lonesome drivers

Rush hour traffic: After work.
There they are, the drivers. Lonely together in their cars. Going out of Oslo into the sunset.

I stick to walking, Walk don't queue!

straight to heaven

Or home?

Decisions, decisions. Thank God it's Friday.

Nov 15, 2012

sunset at the temple

The sun says good night at the Temple of telecom.

Time to go home. New offerings tomorrow. Mainly my brain.

sunrise at the temple

The sun says hello at the Temple of telecom.

Time to worship. Time to work.

Nov 14, 2012

the season is over

No one will sit here in winter. No managers will shout out orders. No substitutes will long to play. No one will hide their faces in shame. No one will celebrate a goal.

Soon everything will be covered by snow.

risin' above the factories and the fields

Really like this house that I pass on my way to and from work. Unfortunately the road is crowded with heavy traffic both in the morning and in the evening.

Years ago it must have been a dream to live here. Maybe it still is.

Nov 11, 2012

close to the action

After I had driven Kristoffer to the game, I watched it on my Mac at home. I even caught a glimpse of Jesper. There he is, behind a Sogndal-player and one of the assistant referees.

The best ball boy in the world.

trophy jersey

Kristoffer came home with a trophy from tonight's game.

Ville Jalasto scored the second Stabæk-goal in their 2-1 victory against Sogndal.

last home game

Stabæk vs. Sogndal. Stabæk is stuck in last place, will finish last and will be relegated. But we hope for a win in the last home game this season.

Kristoffer is alone on the Junior Support tribune 25 minutes before kick off:

A true blue fan.

after rain

The sun came out behind heavy rain clouds.

Just in time for sunset.

november rainbow

It had been raining the whole day. Then at 3.30 pm it stopped.

Just like that.

horny lady with a red bra

OK, I admit that was a speculative subject line. Correct but speculative.

As Christmas is just around the corner I wonder if this window exhibition (at Sandvika Storsenter just outside Oslo) might be inspired by dear old Rudolf.

It's time for a different kind of reindeer game.

a hard-boiled workplace

A round egg chair. In one of the labyrinth-like-corridors I've just started to explore. Gives me a Moonbase Alpha-Soalris-ish feeling.

A cozy place. You should just install a couple of speakers inside.

Will anyone miss it...?

a beutiful morning

Glad I'm walking. Not stuck in a queue. In a car.

3,2 km to work.

Nov 8, 2012

rate a restroom, recommend a restroom

I remember a restroom....

Is there a restroom blog? A guide? An app?

You're nearest public restroom... Restrooms with the highest score... Restrooms your friends like/recommend...

There are lots of mobile opportunities to aid people in need.

This particular restroom is in building E where I work. Score 6/10.

at work

Great architecture. Still having problems finding my way around though.

(And it's raining again.)
